For guests who want to experience a taste of old Florida's natural preserves, Grande Lakes Sports' interpretive eco-tours offer guided canoe or kayak tours of Shingle Creek, the Headwaters to the Florida Everglades. Led by a professionally trained Florida Master Naturalist, guests can learn about the history of Shingle Creek and observe the native species such as alligators, bald eagles, osprey and barred owls from a safe distance in their natural habitat.
Eco-Tour on Shingle Creek
Traveling back in time on Shingle Creek, guests will enjoy a two-hour guided Eco-Tour. Professionally trained Florida Master Naturalist Eco Tour Guides will tell you the story of Shingle Creek and all its inhabitants as you navigate your own canoe, while paddling through scenic Old Florida.
$60 adults; $40 children 17 and younger (with an adult). Available everyday at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., reservations required. Maximum 15 guests per excursion

Join one of our Certified Florida Master Naturalists on a guided trip on the wild side, as you explore the beginning of a new day on the 500 acre Grande Lakes Orlando resort. From the comfort of a customized, all-terrain golf cart, you will have a chance to observe and photograph whitetail deer, bobcat, North American river otter, fox, raccoons, alligators and a host of birds ranging from Great Horned Owls to roseate spoonbills. Our Audubon Certified Golf Course is bordered by Shingle Creek, the official headwaters of the Florida Everglades, and is the perfect setting for an up close look at the flora and fauna which defines the Sunshine State. You will also visit Whisper Creek Farm which features our famous chicken coop and a 7,000 square foot vegetable and fruit garden that provides many ingredients used in restaurant dishes and beverages at the resort.
