Eco-Tours

For guests who want to experience a taste of old Florida's natural preserves, Adventure Experiences' interpretive eco-tours offer guided canoe or kayak tours of Shingle Creek, the Headwaters to the Florida Everglades. Guests can learn about the history of Shingle Creek and observe the native species such as alligators, bald eagles, osprey and barred owls in their natural habitat.

Eco-Tour on Shingle Creek
Traveling back in time on Shingle Creek, guests will enjoy a two-hour guided Eco-Tour. Water Guides will tell you the story of Shingle Creek and all its inhabitants as you navigate your own canoe, while paddling through scenic Old Florida.
$60 adults; $30 children 17 and younger (with an adult). Available everyday at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., reservations required. Maximum 15 guests per excursion

Explore Grande Lake
8-10 a.m. and 6-8 p.m. daily. Must be 18 to rent.

S.U.P. 101: Stand Up Paddle Boarding for Beginners
Lessons begin on the beach of Grande Lake for a quick tutorial, where our instructor will review the three P’s of paddleboarding: Position, Posture, and of course, the Paddle. After your tutorial on land, you’ll embark on a tour of Grande Lake and enjoy the scenery from a whole new angle.
Saturdays & Sundays, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. $40 per person ages 12 and up (Children 12 - 17 must be accompanied by an adult.)
Restrictions apply, space is limited. All paddlers must know how to swim and should wear comfortable swim attire. Life jackets provided. 24-hour advance reservations required.

Bird Habitats
Leave a lasting mark on the Grande Lakes Orlando wildlife with a one-of-a-kind birdhouse. Paint your unique birdhouse then travel with our guide to Shingle Creek, where you will install your birdhouse. On your next visit to Grande Lakes Orlando, see what aviary species have inhabited your creation.
$60 per person. Available Saturday & Sunday at 4 p.m. Based on availability Monday-Friday. Reservations required.

Guided Bird Watching
Explore over 300 acres of Grande Lakes natural surroundings while locating and identifying dozens of Central Florida's native avian species. Walk or ride along with your guide as you look and listen to find some of our most elusive guests. Bushnell Binoculars, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are included.
$20 per hour adults; $10 per hour children 17 and under (with an adult). Maximum 5 guests per excursion, based on availability.
