At the JW GriffinCooking School you’ll have a unique opportunity to learn cooking techniques from our own top Chefs. Classes are offered through out the year and range from pasta making to whole hog cookery. Our chefs will walk you through the particular class lesson, stopping to answer any questions you may have. Each session is unique so choose to join one class or attend them all!
All classes are held on property at Grande Lakes Orlando. You do not need to be a resort guest to attend classes. The class fees cover all ingredients and some classes include drinks or a meal. Reservations are required. Please call (407) 393-4619.

Griffin Cooking School 2014 2nd Semester
July 12th- Pasta
Join the Primo Culinary Team as they share the art of making pasta! Enjoy a morning of instruction, learning about different pasta doughs and shapes to make dishes such as fettuccine, raviolis, gnocchi’s and more! A great class for the entire family.
August 9th- BBQ!
Nothing says summer more than the smoky scent of a barbecue! Make your neighbors salivate by learning to properly BBQ meats with award-winning Barbecue Pit masters. This class also includes secrets on how to purchase, prepare and smoke meats at home with just about any type of smoker.
September 6 – Beer Making
Forget wine! ... craft beers are on the rise! Get with our brew masters and learn the secrets of making great and simple beer.
September 13th- Sushi
Learn how to “roll” with the best of them! Our classically trained Sushi Chef will walk you through the steps of how to make sushi like a pro. He will discuss what to look for when purchasing the best quality fish, how to make perfect sushi rice and teach several different types of rolls including rainbow and crunchy shrimp rolls. He will also discuss different types of sake pairings.
October 25th - “Little Griffin” Cooking School
It’s harvest time at Whisper Creek Farm and we are looking for little hands to help us bring in the bounty! We’ll pick from our very own pumpkin patch then have fun carving pumpkins, making pumpkin seed trail mix and drinking warm apple cider. A fun-filled day for the entire family!
November 15th- Thanksgiving Throw Down!
Join us as we show you how to take your Thanksgiving Feast to the next level. We will share our “tricks of the trade” to turn your usual dinner into a gourmet experience. Some topics include buying the perfect turkey, improving the flavor of your gravy and stuffing, and making cranberry sauce from scratch.
