ORVIS Fly Fishing
Grande Lakes Outfitters features the ORVIS Orlando Two-Day Fly Fishing school, private guided fly fishing from Hyde Drift Boats and private guided Eco-tours on Shingle Creek, the Headwaters to the Florida Everglades.
Fly fishing excursions take place on the 40-acre Shingle Pond (parallel to Shingle Creek), which sits on the most remote section of Grande Lakes. Here, guests board Hyde Drift boats alongside an ORVIS-endorsed guide team and fish the private waters of Shingle Pond, where fly fishing enthusiasts have the chance to reel in trophy Largemouth Bass. Guests also have an opportunity to spin or fly fish two miles of Shingle Creek on the Headwaters to the Everglades. During their fly fishing adventure, guests also can catch a glimpse of bobcats, deer and wild turkey roaming at the shoreline.

Private Fly Fishing Instruction
Our Professional guide will pick you up at the fly fishing corner in The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Pro shop and shuttle you to our ORVIS Casting Pond. Here our guides will take beginner and advance casters to the next level.
$50 per hour, per person, includes use of ORVIS equipment
Fly Fishing on Shingle Pond from Hyde Drift Boats
For a true Fly Fishing experience our professional guide will pick you up at the fly fishing corner in The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Pro Shop and shuttle you to picturesque Shingle Pond. Enjoy a three hour excursion fly fishing for Largemouth Bass from Pro-Series Hyde Drift Boats.
$180 per person (max 4 guests), includes use of ORVIS equipment
Guided Spin Tackle or Fly Fishing on Shingle Creek
Spin or fly fish The Old Florida waters of Shingle Creek for trophy Largemouth Bass. Guided trips last up to four hours from our Old Town Canoes and all equipment is provided.
$200 per person (max 5 guests), includes use of ORVIS equipment
Two-day Fly Fishing School
The ORVIS school involves a hands-on approach with a balanced schedule of classroom seminars and field instruction by ORVIS-endorsed fly fishing instructors. Seminars take place in a variety of on-site locations where students will learn casting techniques, essential knots, gear and tackle selection, proper fly selection and how to read the water. How to play, land and safely release fish will also be covered as all fishing is catch and release at Grande Lakes Orlando. Sessions are held on Saturday and Sunday.

Group Fly Fishing Seminars
A three-hour view into the art of Fly Fishing. Family and Corporate groups are welcome for a classroom seminar and dry-land casting training provided by our own Professional Guide.
